"Raising Victor Vargas" is Captivating

"Raising Victor Vargas" is a great Indie movie. It has Victor, played by Victor Rasuk trying to live with his crazy grandmother, and his younger brother. His grandmother, played by Altagracia Guzman, is an eccentric grandmother who is very strict but also wants the best for her grandsons. Victor thinks his life is getting a lot better when he meets a girl he really likes. Her name is Judy, played by Judy Marte. He finally wants to change and make things better for his grandmother and be a positive role model for his younger brother.

Vicor Rasuk was spectacular in this film. He really made this film so captivating with his character change. Also, this film really skyrocketed his career. Also, the Dominican actress Atlagracia Guzman was hilarious with her antics. She really played the crazy grandmother really well. Mainly because we wanted to side with her, but she knew best, like an actual grandmother. Judy Marte really did well in this film. She played hard to get, but she really helped Victor become who he was at the end of the film. This film is so great to see, and it is so powerful to watch, Go see it.

The Weinstein Company's "Fruitvale Station" is a Winner

"Fruitvale Station" is great to see this summer. It has Oscar, played by Michael B. Jordan, trying to do things right after he gets out of prison. He is trying to make peace with his daughter and his girlfriend, Sophina, played by Melonie Diaz. He loses his job, and is trying to get by with what he has. It is new year's eve and Sophina and Oscar want to go out in the city and celebrate. His mother, played by Octavia Spencer, suggests them to take train. Unfortunately, things turn for the worse when they are on the train home.

This film is so great mainly because of how well it was done. This was a very short movie, only about 85 minutes. However, it was one complete day pretty much all explained in 85 minutes. This is Michael B. Jordan's first leading role and he is spectacular. He was excellent because the audience wanted him to succeed, because he was trying to the right thing. Melonie Diaz also did fantastic in her role. She gave the audience chills at the end of the film. Also, Octavia Spencer was amazing in this film. She has come a long way from talking to food in "Dinner for Schmucks." She deserved her Oscar in "The Help" and I hope she gets recognized for this role. The Weinstein Company did a fantastic job for this film. I hope this gets some recognition for its greatness.

"Kevin Hart: Let Me Explain" is a Different Experience at the Theater.

"Kevin Hart: Let Me Explain" is a different experience at the theater. The film is a stand-up special of Kevin Hart at Madison Square Garden. First off, Kevin Hart is hilarious. I have seen his stand-up before and it is just hilarious. His stand-up is extremely funny and it is just a great time with your friends during this summer.

A stand-up special was so different from a regular movie because of the audience. Usually when people go to the movies everyone wants to be quiet and respectful during the movie. However during a stand-up special and during this movie the audience was laughing and applauding during the movie. This film is so hilarious it is not too long and not too short and Kevin Hart is just a great experience. Some people do not want to see this movie because they do not want to pay $10 or $11 to see a stand-up special. However, you are only paying $10 or $11 for a sold-out show for Kevin Hart.

"The Departed" is Pure Greatness

"The Departed" is one of the best movie ever seen because of the amazing cast. Billy, played by Leonardo Dicaprio, is looking to become a police man in Boston. He goes undercover to infiltrate a Mob of Boston led by Frank Costello, played by Jack Nicholson. He becomes friends with Frank and he is torn while undercover. While this is going on a rat is gaining information, Colin, played by Matt Damon. It is just a great mystery that needs to be solved.

This film is so great mainly because of Martin Scorsese's genius at work. He is one of the best, maybe the best director still alive. He just makes each film, so exciting by keeping the audience on the edge of their seat. Also, this cast is so amazing. The big names in this movie is unbelievable. Leonardo Dicaprio, Matt Damon, Martin Sheen, Mark Wahlberg, Alec Baldwin, Vera Farmiga, and of course Jack Nicholson. This film is one of the best Mob movies ever made.

"Conviction" is Captivating

Another Sam Rockwell film is "Conviction." It has Betty Anne Waters, played by Hilary Swank, and Kenny Waters, played by Sam Rockwell in a terrible situation. Kenny is falsely accused of murder and is thrown away for it. Betty Anne is determined to prove his innocence whatever the consequences are. She decides to go to law school, even with being a single mother. She is 100% determined to prove her brother' innocence.

This film is so great mainly because of the great cast. First off, the policewoman determined to keep Kenny in jail was played by Melissa Leo. She plays every role so well, and she can talk any accent, and still speak and act beautifully. Hilary Swank was also amazing in this film. She is always so passionate with every role, and takes every role so well, it is too bad she has been nominated for more roles. And Sam Rockwell, was obviously great. He is so underrated with his work, and he really deserves more recognition because he is one of the best out now.

Sam Rockwell is Great

"Moon" is just mind-bending.  It has Sam Bell, played by Sam Rockwell, on a three year mission to the moon. On his mission he learns about himself, his family, and the company he works for. It is a film that you need to watch in its entirety to learn everything and understand everything. It is very interesting to watch.

This film is so great mainly because of Sam Rockwell. For about 95% of the film it was just him in this film, and he nailed it. It was very disappointing to hear that he was nominated for any awards for this film, but he really deserves recognition because he really did an amazing job. This is a great about hope, and never giving up.

"Good Will Hunting" Is Amazing. How DO You Like Them Apples?

"Good Will Hunting" is just great film about finding yourself. This film is so beautifully written, by Matt Damon and Ben Affleck. Robin Williams is perfect in this film and this film deserves every recognition. The acting, the writing, the setting was just great. Minnie Driver also did a fantastic job as Will's girlfriend. It was funny, and uplifting, and it is considered one of the best films ever written. If you have not seen this yet, please see it especially if you are going into college because it is a perfect age group for this film. Go SEE IT NOW!

"Precious" is Inspiring

"Precious" is a inspirational film to see. It has a teenage mother, Precious, played by Gabourey Sidibe, trying to take care of her mentally challenged son, while also pregnant. Precious is a very nice girl, trying to get by with her terrible lifestyle. Her mother, played by Mo'Nique, abuses Precious and her children. Also Precious' step-dad rapes Precious and she is now pregnant with his second child. She has try to overcome her hardships.

This film is so great because of the duo of Mo'Nique and Gabourey Sidibe. They were just perfect together on screen. The film just worked when it was put to screen. Some great minor characters were great also. Mariah Carey was fantastic in this film. She is not known for acting because of her incredible voice, but she has been in a few films but this was her culmination. Paula Patton was great to see and she did fantastic in this film to not give up on Precious. This film was based on a book and I do not know how accurate it was but I think it is a great film about never giving up.

"The Way, Way Back" is a Great Film To See This Summer.

"The Way, Way Back" is a great film to see this summer. This film blew up the Sundance FIlm Festival and it is just worth seeing. It has Duncan, played by Liam James, spending his summer vacation with his mom, her boyfriend, and his mother's boyfriend's daughter. His mother, Toni Collette, and her boyfriend, Steve Carrell, thinks that Duncan should tried to make some new friends this summer maybe even a girlfriend and gain some confidence. He tries to make friends with his step sister, Stephanie, but the only he really wants to spend time with is his neighbor, Susanna, played by AnnaSophia Robb. He takes Stephanie's bike and rides around the area and discovers a water park, called Water Wizz. He meets a man named Owen, played by Sam Rockwell. He realizes this is a place for him.

This film is so great for the summer. Liam James plays the awkward teen very well. This was his first leading role and he nailed it. Steve Carrell deserves a lot of credit also, because he was the bad guy in this film and he was fantastic. AnnaSophia Robb was also really great in this film, she played the girl next door so well. This film has such a great cast and it just was put really well together. Please go see this amazing film that came out this summer.

"Monsters University" is a Great Film for All Ages.

"Monsters University" is a great film for all ages. It tells the story of how Mike Wasowski, voiced by Billy Crystal, meets his pal, James Sullivan, voiced by John Goodman. Mike has always wanted to go to Monsters University and be a scarer. So when he is old enough he attends the university. He is very excited to study, and become the best scarer but he is just not scary. He has to live with this handicap.

This film is so great because it just shows how to just follow your dreams regardless of what people say about you. It is a great film to see for kids, and also the teenagers who saw the original when they were little, like me. This film was beautifully written and also explained the original very well. This film is so great for all ages please check it out regardless if you think it is childish.

"Knocked Up" Showed That Comedies Can Be Great Films.

"Knocked Up" showed that comedies can be great films. It has Ben Stone, played by Seth Rogen, living in California with his friends. He is a stoner, does not have have a job, except for his internet venture that is a website that shows nude scenes and love scenes from movies. He meets a girl named Allison, played by Katherine Heigl, one night at a club. They both get drunk, and have a one night stand. Allison is a producer at the E! channel and now she going on camera. She is going places, but unfortunately she gets pregnant from the one night stand with Ben. They are an unlikely couple that try together for their baby. It is a hilarious film with laughs throughout.

This film is so great because it is not just a slapstick comedy. It really shows the troubles an unplanned pregnancy has. It showed that a pregnancy and having a baby is easier with both of the parents in the equation. Katherine Heigl and Seth Rogen were great together in this film. They really clicked on screen as the "opposites attract" couple. Judd Apatow did a fantastic job for this film, and I hope he keeps making hilarious films for the world to see.

"300" is Gerard Butler's Best

"300" is Gerard Butler's best. This film is about the story of King Leonidas, played by Gerard Butler, and his 300 Spartans trying to take down the Persian Army. This film has many great effects that make everything work together well.

This film is so great because of Zack Snyder. He makes films that are so visually appealing because everything he has made is so different to look at. Also, this film really has Gerard Butler displaying some good acting. He killed it in this film. He was really showed that he is a legitimate actor because his other films are not so great. I am extremely excited for the sequel coming out in March. This film was great and Zack Snyder has made some great films including, "Watchmen" "Man of Steel" and of course "300." This is a great film to go see, but this is a quintessential guy movie with blood, gore, and violence, so I do not think it is for everybody. But check it out.

"Edward Scissorhands" is One of Depp's and Burton's Best.

"Edward Scissorhands" is one of Depp's and Burton's best. It is about Edward, played by Johnny Depp, who is a man made by a scientist who makes him a normal human except he has scissors for hands. He is discovered by a woman named Peg, played by Dianne Wiest. She takes care of him, and invites him into her house with her family. Her husband Bill, played by Alan Arkin, her son Kevin, played by Robert Oliveri, and her beautiful daughter Kim, played by Winona Ryder. Edward tries to become a normal human being regardless that he has scissor for hands, and now he has a family to support him.

This film just shows how great Tim Burton and Johnny Depp are, especially together. Tim Burton is weird and quirky but he really is a visionary. He has made some great films that push the envelope and try to make his audience think outside the box. Johnny Depp is obviously great. He is just so good at every movie he is in. He becomes each and every character he plays. Also, Dianne Wiest, Alan Arkin, and Winona Ryder were great in this film. They really became Edward's family and helped him throughout his life in this film. Please Watch.

"Beasts of Southern Wild" is a Great Film About Growing Up

"Beasts of Southern Wild" is a great film about growing up. It is about a little girl, played by Quvenzhane Walls growing up with her father, played by Dwight Henry, who is abusive, and drinks a lot. The little girl is named is Hushpuppy, she is very little but she is very mature for her age. She is essentially taking care of herself in a the terrible area she is living in. Her father tries to take care of her by showing her tough love, and toughing her up. Her father realizes that he will not be alive for much longer so he tries to make sure Hushpuppy is ready.

This film is great mainly because of how amazing this little girl is in her film. This is her film, and she was just spectacular. There are not many adult actresses that can say the first film they were in, they were nominated for best actress. She really is an amazing actress because of she really grew up on screen. She was so mature, and it seemed like she really had the skill she needed to make this film so good. Dwight Henry was also fantastic because of his tough love was present throughout the film and we can see his intensity and tenacity all throughout the film.
