"The Dark Knight" might be the best Superhero Movie of all Time

This movie is such a great movie it is probably the greatest superhero movie of all time. "The Dark Knight" is the second installment of Christopher Nolan's story of the Dark Knight as Batman tries to take down the Joker. Batman is played by Christian Bale who does an amazing job as Batman, he got in top physical condition to play this part also. There were also great acting performances by Maggie Gyllenhaal, Aaron Eckhart, Gary Oldman, Michael Caine, and Morgan Freeman but the amazing acting was played by Heath Ledger before he passed.

This story is so great and everything came together beautifully. The best thing in this movie was the Joker. Ledger was perfect in this movie. Much like Daniel Day-Lewis became Abraham Lincoln in Lincoln, Ledger became the Joker in "The Dark Knight." He absolutely deserved the Oscar for Best Supporting Actor because his performance was one of the best I have ever seen.

"Argo" and Affleck are the real winners

The Oscars on Sunday were one for the ages. It was amazing to see these great films of the year get celebrated for their greatness. The true winner of the night though, was Argo. Argo won for Best Picture and it was well deserved. This film the best writing I have ever seen and I wasn't surprised when it won the Oscar for Adapted Screenplay. It was also beautifully acted with a great cast. Alan Arkin, John Goodman, Bryan Cranston, and led by Ben Affleck. It was just a amazing film that greatly deserved the Best Picture Oscar.

Ben Affleck truly deserved all the recognition he was given for this film. Regardless of his past films, he really nailed it with Argo. The directing was spot on. The best part of this film was its authenticity. I was on the edge of my seat the whole movie because I felt like I was put into the 1970's. Ben Affleck is a genius for his work on this film. Good Will Hunting was his first gem, but now Argo is his second gem.

"The Artist" Shocked the World

Since the Oscars are this sunday I will talk about last year Best Picture's Best Winner, The Artist. This film is so incredibly great because it is the first silent film in decades and they nailed it. It was shocking to see a silent movie in black and white in this day and age but it was beautifully made. It has a silent movie star that meets a young dancer in one of his films. And like Citizen Kane the press that this was blasphemy to have a mega star to be dating an extra. Eventually the dancer becomes a huge star in the "talkies." And their lives are put into different paths. It is a beautiful love story with one of the best directing films I have ever seen.

This film is way too good for this generation. It was a gutsy move to have a silent movie in 2012 but it was perfect. Nobody was expecting anything like this to come out in 2012. It won almost every major Academy Award. This film was so amazing because we are so used to computer generated, green screen films but a silent film is just so simple that can be made amazingly. This film shocked the film industry and brought silent films back to reality.

If you Like Movies That People have Never Heard of Read This

There is a movie that changed my life for the better. It was called "Reality Bites." It was with Ben Stiller, Winona Ryder, and Ethan Hawke. The film has Winona Ryder living with her best friends who are the prime example of Generation X. Generation X is basically the twenty-something kids after college trying to find out what they want to do with their lives. They know they do not want to be normal American people they want to expand their horizon and do things before they settled down and do they want. It is just a beautifully written love story and it will make you want things to turn out well for them because it is just greatly made.

This movie has Winona Ryder at her finest. She is such an underrated, beautiful actress, and she is so good at she what she does. She has been such great films and she deserves more recognition. Ethan Hawke is so great in this film also and he needs to be in more movies. Ben Stiller actually surpassed me in this movie because I am used to seeing him in his goofy self but this is a dramatic love story and he really comes alive in this film. He and Adam Sandler and Seth Rogen I respect so much because they are not afraid to step out of their comfort zone of coedy and try something new. Ben Stiller was in this film, Adam Sandler was in Spanglish and Punch-Drunk Love, and Seth Rogen was in 50/50. All of the actors I mentioned deserve recognition.

Nicolas Cage's Best Movie

Nicolas Cage is not my favorite actor because I am not a big action flick guy. I do think Nick Cage had an amazing role in a film that is one of my favorites of all time. It is called "Adaptation." It is somewhat a sequel to "Being John Malkovich"which is also great. Adaptation is based on a book by Susan Orlean called "The Orchid Thief." Nicholas Cage stars as Screenwriter Charlie Kaufman and his twin brother Donald. Cage is trying to write a screenplay for the book "The Orchid Thief" but is having trouble. The other storyline is Susan Orlean played by Meryl Streep is trying to write the book by interviewing and spending time with the "Orchid Thief"John Laroche who is played by Chris Cooper. Cage tries his best to write his masterpiece while trying to meet with Susan Orlean but a series of events leads to the mystery behind Orlean and Laroche's secret lives.

Cage is spectacular in this film. It is by far his best film. He truly shows that he deserves his Oscar nominated role. Meryl Streep is always fantastic and she deserves his nomination as always. Chris Cooper did deserve his Oscar mainly because he was amazing in this film and emotion was captured through his genius work on the screen. This film is something you have to see you like suspenseful dramas.

Indie Film that is Way Underrated For its Greatness

This Indie film is one of my favorites because it is a once in a lifetime thing. "Lost in Translation" is with Bill Murray and Scarlett Johansson and it is set in Japan. Murray is a giant star and he is being praised in Japan as a mega star, with t.v. appearances, and modeling appearances. He is a huge star but he does not know how to respond to it because his family does not love him as much as he wants. He then meets Johansson who is a beautiful, outgoing girl who is somewhat out of his league mainly because she has a boyfriend. Regardless, they do spend time together and really become friends. They find happiness in each other that they have been seeking for so long.

Murray and Johansson are perfect together in this film. They have a once in a lifetime romance that is greatly portrayed on screen. "This film portrays moments and meetings in your life that are unforgettable, no matter the circumstance you will never have it back," said Matt Cecio, experienced movie goer. It is a film that will be remembered as Bill Murray's and Scarlett Johansson Gem.

Spend Valentine's Day with this movie

In honor of Valentine's Day I am going to talk about a love story. Woody Allen's "Midnight in Paris" came out in 2011. It has Owen Wilson and Rachel McAdams traveling to Paris with McAdams' parents. They are engaged but they are not the most happy couple. They are much different, McAdams wants to dance and explore the nightlife of Paris while Wilson wants to walk around the beautiful city at night and especially in the rain. One night Wilson is walking alone and an older looking car picks him up and travels through time to the 1920's and meets amazing writers of our time. He meets a woman named Adriana and falls in love but the problem is she lives in another dimension. He has to choose between his fiancé and a woman he is infatuated with.

This film has Woody Allen at his best. As Writer/Director of this film he deserves the Oscar he won. He shows how beautiful Paris is in such a simplistic way, he is a genius. This is one of his best films and probably the best film McAdams and Wilson has been in. The love story just keeps you guessing and by the end it is somewhat expected but it is still portrayed beautifully. Spend your valentine's day with your significant other with a movie.

Silver Linings Playbook Is Strongly Considered For Oscars This Year

This year's Oscars is going to a one of the best of the ceremonies. I have seen most of the nominated movies but I do not know which one will come out on top because they're all spectacular. Today I am going to talk Silver Linings Playbook. It has many great actors including Bradley Cooper, Jennifer Lawrence, Robert De Niro and Chris Tucker (Yes he is back). The film has Cooper coming out of a mental institution from a incident of rage, and is now going to live back home with his parents. Cooper is trying to better himself to try to get back with his wife who cheated on him and left him. He then meets a woman, played Jennifer Lawrence, and soon realize that they are made for each other.

Cooper and Lawrence are perfect together on screen. This film is by far their best film for each of them. I do not know who will win Best Actor or Best Actress but for their performances they sure do deserve a chance to win and I am glad that they were both nominated. Robert De Niro was also great as Cooper's father because he plays an extremely hard role, a person with OCD and he nails it. Also, Chris Tucker is not my favorite actor but he was comic relief in this love story. This film deserves much recognition and it should bring home a couple of Oscars.

Underrated Indie Film that is Odd but Spectacular

I am not the biggest fan of his, but I just watched a film last night with Ryan Gosling and it was spectacular. Gosling is know for his romance movies because he is the heart throb every girl wants. The film I saw him last night was called "Lars and the Real Girl." The movie had Gosling living in the extension of his brother and sister-in-law's house. It seemed at first he was very lonely and depressed with how his life was going. His family was very concerned, and Gosling did something about it. Gosling buys a mannequin and has a delusion that it is his girlfriend. At first it surprising for his family but after getting used to it, his family and his community treat the mannequin as a real person.

This movie has Gosling at his best. This indie film deserves more recognition mainly because it is such a weird concept made into a beautiful setting. This film is so beautfiul because it has this sweet innocent man trying to find companionship through someone or something. It truly shows that someone who is depressed and lonely can find companionship and love.

Zero Dark Thirty is Bigelow's Second Gem

So I don't if this will win Best Picture but Bigleow's new film "Zero Dark Thirty" is creating Oscar buzz. Bigelow is known for his Oscar Winning Film "The Hurt Locker" and her new film is as good. It has Jessica Chastain trying to find the person on USA's hit list Osama Bin Laden. Chastain is dynamite in this film and she is in the running for Best Actress.

This film has Bigelow at her finest. Chastain is spectacular, the cast is great, and the suspense is great. The whole movie we are waiting for the invasion of Bin Laden's whereabouts. The invasion scene is a great part in the film. This particular scene and Chastain's brilliant acting might be the reason it takes home Best Picture.

One of the Best Indie Films

So Indie movies are one of my favorite genres. My favorite director of Indie films has to be Wes Anderson. He is the epitome of different and out there films. My favorites have to be The Royal Tenenbaums, and Rushmore. Today I am going to talk about his recent film Moonrise Kingdom.

Moonrise Kingdom came out last year and it is up for an Oscar. This film blew up independent theaters with it's amazing cast, including Edward Norton, Bruce Willis, Frances Mcdormand, Bill Murray, Tilda Swinton, Jason Schwartzman and others. Also for the quirky humor that went along with it.

This film has one of the best love stories of all time because it is between twelve years old. It shows that love conquers all regardless of how old someone can be. Wes Anderson is one of the best and this film is turning out be a classic.

Underrated Film Everyone Should See

This is Jason Zoblin again telling you the ins and outs of movies you have never heard of.

Steve Carell is known for his comedy and Keira Knightley is known for her action in Pirates of the Caribbean, they both team up in a film that came out last year called "Seeking a Friend for the End of the World." The movie has them on a journey to find Carell's lost love while the world is ending. They soon realize that they are made for each other and Carell's lost love is actually Knightley.

This film did not do so great in the box office and critics thought it was ok but I thought they got it wrong. I really think that Carell and Knightley are a great team on the camera. They are both genuinely funny and have great skills from doing different types of genres. This is a very underrated love story with a great cast.

A movie that you never heard of that you will love

Hello This is Jason Zoblin. I am telling the ins and outs of all great movies and music. I am a Radio, TV and Film student at Rider University in Lawrenceville, NJ. I do believe I know the best movies that are being made and already been around for awhile.

I will start with my favorite movie The Wackness. It stars Josh Peck as a drug dealer trying to obtain money for his family after he finds out he is getting evicted. He then makes friends with his customer/therapist, Ben Kingsley. Peck then falls in love Kingsley's stepdaughter, Olivia Thirlby, and then eventually breaks his heart. It is a coming of age. I do believe the Writer/Director, Jonathan Levine  created a gem in this spectacular 2008 film. This movie has everything to make it a classic film.

Sincerely,

Jason Zoblin
