The Weinstein Company's "Fruitvale Station" is a Winner

"Fruitvale Station" is great to see this summer. It has Oscar, played by Michael B. Jordan, trying to do things right after he gets out of prison. He is trying to make peace with his daughter and his girlfriend, Sophina, played by Melonie Diaz. He loses his job, and is trying to get by with what he has. It is new year's eve and Sophina and Oscar want to go out in the city and celebrate. His mother, played by Octavia Spencer, suggests them to take train. Unfortunately, things turn for the worse when they are on the train home.

This film is so great mainly because of how well it was done. This was a very short movie, only about 85 minutes. However, it was one complete day pretty much all explained in 85 minutes. This is Michael B. Jordan's first leading role and he is spectacular. He was excellent because the audience wanted him to succeed, because he was trying to the right thing. Melonie Diaz also did fantastic in her role. She gave the audience chills at the end of the film. Also, Octavia Spencer was amazing in this film. She has come a long way from talking to food in "Dinner for Schmucks." She deserved her Oscar in "The Help" and I hope she gets recognized for this role. The Weinstein Company did a fantastic job for this film. I hope this gets some recognition for its greatness.

Grade = 92/100 = A-
