"Rocky Balboa" is a Great Film That Ended the Series

"Rocky Balboa" is a great film that ended the series. It tells the story of Rocky Balboa, played by Sylvester Stallone, after the fame and glory. He is older now, and basically only has Paulie, played by Burt Young. His son, Rocky Jr., played by Milo Ventimiglia, does not see him because he is caught up in his job and he wants to make a name for himself and not live in the shadow of his father. Rocky is the owner of a restaurant in honor of Adrian, because she has past away. Rocky is very distraught about his son, and his wife and something big happens. A the heavyweight champion, Mason Dixon, played by Antonio Tarver, is making a name for himself but he is not liked by boxing fans because of his cocky attitude. ESPN does a virtual fight between Balboa and Dixon and who wins, Balboa. This gets Rocky thinking, maybe he can do this again. He starts to train again prove that an old school can beat new school.

This film is not as good as the first two films but it did wrap up the films very well. It brought back many characters from before including Marie. Her character fit very well in this film and it showed that Rocky gave a lot of hope to the city of Philadelphia and the rest of the world to never give up. These films were Sylvester Stallone's best films and he does a great job at this character. It is unfortunate that some of these films were not as good as the 1st, 2nd, and 6th because it had a lot of potential. Regardless, this film was very well made and very inspirational.

Grade = 82/100 = B-
