Hello and welcome to your Weekend Wrap-Up, of all of the top movies this weekend. I’m Jason Zoblin. This weekend there was a huge change in the top 5 and top 4 spots. “A Haunted House 2” came in at Number 5 at  9.1 Million.

“A Haunted House 2” is the sequel to the parodies of the “Paranormal Activity” films. It stars Marlon Wayans as Malcolm. Malcolm is starting fresh with his new girlfriend and two children, because of his past of exorcising demons, but supernatural activity has joined his life and family once again.

Coming in at Number 4 is “Transcendence” at 11.2 Million.

“Transcendence” stars Johnny Depp as Dr. Will Caster. Caster is a researcher of artificial intelligence trying to create a machine that combines the collective intelligence and all human emotions. His research has made him a target for anti-technology extremists. Will he reach the state of transcendence?

And at Number 3 this weekend is “Heaven is for Real” at 21.5 Million.

“Heaven is for Real” stars Greg Kinnear as Todd Burpo. Todd discovers a great gift that his son acquired after his near-death experience. His son has visited heaven and wants to share his knowledge to his small-town to make a difference.
