"This is 40" is a Great Somewhat Sequel to "Knocked Up."

"This is 40" is a great somewhat sequel to "Knocked Up." It tells the story about five years later of Debbie's, played by Leslie Mann, and Pete's, played by Paul Rudd, wedlock life. They are both turning forty and are dealing with all of the mid-life crisis problems an average American goes through. Financial, health, family, and plenty of other problems that go along with getting older and dealing with family struggles. Judd Apatow tells a great story of becoming an adult.

This is hilarious because of how deeply honest and truthful a modern relationship is portrayed in this film. In life stuff flies at you, and you have to deal with them. In many American families they deal with problems with their teenagers, financial issues, struggles with extended family, and also trying to stay healthy. And sometime we cannot always deal with them in a productive way. Love and marriage is very hard to deal with especially keeping a relationship for so long. Judd Apatow is an amazing director and writer because of how raw and truthful his scenarios are in his films, and it is why they are also so funny. This is not as funny and great as "Knocked Up" but it is worth checking out if you are a fan of Apatow's other films.

Grade = 82/100 = B-
